Minimalistic Madrid

By Brigitta Rebecca Kessel on Sep 1, 2014

Madrid is a city of inspiration, which is exactly where photographer Pablo Alzaga Sáez gets his. Originally from San Sebastian, he is now currently studying Telecommunications Engineering at the Technical University of Madrid. Pablo is humble to say the least, stating, “Photography began as a hobby (and remains so). You know, you start shooting with a basic camera and with no style, trying to imitate your favourite photographers”, naming Finn Beales and Josef Hoflehner as photographers he looks up to for their minimal landscape choices and the significant narrative components of their works. Inspired by architecture, skateboarding and street wear fashion; Pablo manages to capture the city of Madrid through his lens and minimalistic frame choices as well. He also follows Ivania Carpio’s blog and her stunning use of whites. When it comes to landscapes, Pablo appreciates wide open spaces and faraway people. His future pursuits involve a couple of cool projects, skateboarding and exploring new places.
